Howie Kuhn and Kendall Reiley took first place at the 10th Annual NEPSA Video Awards for their film “Erste Stuhl: 2012.”

The NEPSA Video Awards are a showcase of local short films at the Wheeler Opera House that kicked off The Meeting — a convention of movers and shakers in the snow industry.

Kuhn and Reiley took home $2,000 for the first-place prize. Geoff Stump placed second for his film “Before Aspen.” He won $1,000. Derrin Carelli's film, “Circle of Corduroy,” came in third. He won $500.

Carelli, who documented what it’s like to be a snowcat driver on Aspen Mountain in “Circle of Corduroy,” also took home a $500 Target gift card for winning title of crowd favorite, based on a text in vote.

The videos from NEPSA (Aspen spelled backwards) can be viewed on www.youtube.com/aspensnowmass.

Level 1 closed down the party at the Sundeck atop Aspen Mountain.
