Boulder falls on to Interstate 70 in Glenwood Canyon
A boulder approximately the size of a car crashed down in Glenwood Canyon earlier today about two miles west of Hanging Lakes Tunnel at mile marker 122.9.
Colorado Department of Transportation crews are breaking up the rock and hauling it away.
No one was injured and the there was only minor road damage to the westbound lane of Interstate 70.
The outside, right westbound lane is currently open but both I-70 westbound lanes will be closed intermittently as crews haul the rock pieces away and patch the small hole.
Plan on building in extra travel time if you're heading through the area.
And watch out for rocks.
