Aspen/Snowmass Open finishes at Buttermilk

The sixth annual Aspen/Snowmass Open at Buttermilk — where skiers and snowboarders are competing in the ESPN Winter X Games superpipe and slopestyle course — is now complete.

Here are Sunday's results:

Men’s Ski Superpipe Finals

1st – Jonny Marks – $5,000. Marks sealed first with his best trick of a left 1260 blunt grab.

2nd – Evan Schwartz – $2,500. Schwartz pulled a switch right 7 to move into second.

3rd – Brian Kish – $1,500. Kish took third with a switch 10.

Women’s Ski Superpipe Finals

1st – Kimmy Sharp – $1,500. Sharp sealed first with a best trick of a left 720.

2nd – Shannon Gunning – $750. Also landing a left 720 for second.

3rd – Analisa Drew – $300. Taking third with a left 720 as her best trick.

Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle Finals

1st – Mark Hoyt – $5,000. Hoyt dominated the field with a progressive line including a cab 900 to backside 7, ending with a frontside 1080 double cork.

2nd – Wylie Adams – $2,500. Adams took second with a smooth run including a cab 900, frontside 900 and backside 900.

3rd – Ian Hart – $1,500. Hart also had a smooth run full of cab 900s and 720s to take third.

Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle Finals

1st – Molly Wilson – $1,500. Wilson, hailing from Basalt, Colo., clearly dominated the field with a run including smooth straight airs and a perfect backside 360.

2nd – Heather Baroody – $750. Baroody also stomped a smooth run of straight airs including a backside 3.

3rd – Michelle Zeller – $300. Zeller sealed third with straight airs and grabs.
